Sandra
Yancey, founder and CEO of eWomen Network, congratulates Lilian Raji as she receives
a gift from Tiffany & Co., one of the conference sponsors. |
Congrats
To Atlanta Winners
Business women got “powered up” at the eWomen Network International
Conference in Dallas, TX, which I attended with 2000+ other women who traveled
from across the United States and Canada. Profits in Progress garnered our first
international client from a connection made at the conference. Plus, two sensational
Atlanta women won awards:
- Donna
Willard, our Atlanta eWomen Network Managing Director was
awarded the "2006 Woman to Watch."
- Lilian
Raji was awarded the "2006 International Femtor Emerging
Leader Award."
Congrats!
Why
are women so important to your business? Here a few facts about the
growing power and impact of the women's market as taken from the eWomen
Network website.

control 80% of household spending
• They make up 47% of investors
• Women buy 81% of all products and services
• They make 81% of all retail purchases
• Women sign 80% of all checks written in the United States

This
month’s NOTE-able Power Tip is from Andrea Nierenberg.
Her networking advice has been featured in The New York Times, The
Wall Street Journal, and The Chicago Tribune. She is the author
of "Nonstop Networking: How to Improve Your Life, Luck, and Career."
This is one of her “44 Networking Tips”:
The "Power
of Three"
"Each day, write three personal notes or cards; the power comes from
them being handwritten. At the end of the week, you've made 15 contacts, and
at the end of the year, over 750 goodwill connections."

Our sister
company, Lowry Vickers Design, collaborated closely with the team to design and
produce an 80 page book describing the Bible Studies, Events and Mission Trips
hosted by Women’s Ministry for the next ministry year. We incorporated
unique design features including pink pearls, a die-cut scallop-edge flap, and
velcro attachments, as well as “at a glance” fold-outs for both their
Fall and Winter Bible study program.
"Vanessa
is a gracious and effective communicator. She is uniquely gifted in understanding
a concept and making it a reality. Her dependability and professionalism are
refreshing. She becomes a part of the team and works diligently to produce an
excellent product."
—Marsha Crowe, Minister to Women |

Health
Tip:
In the US, about 8 million women and 2 million men have osteoporosis—a
condition that means your bones are weak, and you’re more likely to break
a bone. Since there are no symptoms, you might not know your bones are getting
weaker until you have a break! Fortunately, you can take steps to reduce your
risk of developing osteoporosis and avoiding the often-debilitating bone fractures
that can result from this disease. Find out answers to common questions at www.4woman.gov/faq/osteopor.htm#1 or www.rheumatology.org/public/factsheets/osteopor_new.asp.
