Hi, everyone!

Our web site has had a makeover! Take a look and let us know what you think.

Here’s what others have told me:

“It's clean and informative. I LOVE the inspirational cards you have in the store.”

In this issue, we spotlight:
• SCORE: A helpful resource

A Helpful Resource
I recently spoke on a panel for SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives Association) at a Conference for Women here in Atlanta. The panel topic was "Successful Stories from Successful Women Business Owners." Download a Resources for Success handout from my panel comments.

You will need Acrobat Reader Version 4 to view this document

SCORE is funded by the U.S. Small Business Association and includes a national network of 10,500 retired and working volunteers who are experienced entrepreneurs and corporate managers/executives. These volunteers provide free business counseling and advice as a public service to all types of businesses in all stages of development. Find out more about SCORE and how they can help your company at www.score.org. Workshops on a variety of topics are available at local SCORE chapters for a small fee. Check out a list of their upcoming seminars for the Atlanta area at www.scoreatlanta.org/Seminars.htm.

PIP Made My New Job Transition Appear Effortless
A testimonial from Connie E.

I retained Profits in Progress (PIP) to help get through a job transition – moving from one law firm to another. PIP sent out an announcement to all of my professional contacts I had accumulated throughout my career.

PIP helped in three ways:
1. By pulling together all my contacts
2. By sending out an email announcement
3. By sending out a creative handwritten PIP note card a month later

People really appreciated knowing my contact information had changed and how to stay in touch with me. My communication with my professional contacts took away their concern as to what happened to me.

PIP made the transition to my new job so much easier. I didn’t miss emails or phone calls. It eliminated the frustrating things about having to move to a new job. It’s a very powerful service and an excellent way to stand out among all the communications that hit us every day.

Connie used the Profits in Progress Gold Service.

Networking Extravaganza!

I attended the eWomen Network’s 5th International Conference and Business Expo last month in Dallas.
I connected, networked and was inspired by more than 1,500 women from across the U.S. and Canada. The women, from entrepreneurs with start-ups to heads of multimillion-dollar organizations, were dynamic sources of inspiration. I enjoyed learning about them and look forward to working with them. This organization also gives back to the communities of the local chapters through grants from the eWomen Network Foundation.

eWomen Network is the #1 resource for connecting and promoting women and their businesses worldwide with over 15,000 active members. The local Atlanta chapter meets once a month. For more information, call me and/or visit www.ewomennetwork.com.

Health Tip

Energize Yourself!
I don’t know about you, but I’m always interested in ways to boost my energy. We all know that breathing can keep you relaxed; however, it can also give you a lift. Listening to your favorite song can lift you up, too, but did you know that reading can give you energy? Take a look at this great list of tips by Jon Gordon, author of "The Energy Addict," of things to do to when you need to recharge. www.jongordon.com/fuel
